I've had my 99.5 2.8QMS for about 1 1/2 months and there is a creaking sound from the leather seat in the rear rubbing against something. Anyone else have this problem? Is there a quick fix? I've tried to open/close the seats to make sure they were locked in place. Or do I need my first trip to the dealer?

I have a 99.5 1.8TQMS with leatherette and I can hear the seats squeek/ rubbing against each other under shear. Means: Driving up or down a driveway from the street makes the car not look very sturdy/stiff.

Under what circumstances do you hear the noise?

My noise was coming from the sides of the rear seats rubbing against the rear door panels. Very annoying and the acoustics of the car made the noise sound like it was coming from right next to my ear. I used armor-all on the sides of the seats and door panel and the noise disappeared. Good luck.
