I changed my oil this past Friday and decided to leave the lower plastic cover off as it is going to the dealers tomorrow. When I moved my car on Saturday, I noticed 3 fresh drops of a red fluid, oily feeling still puddled up, not yet soaked into the concrete. What the hell could this be now. I am starting to loose my patience with the car. At only 40K miles, it is having more than an acceptable number of issues. I am guessing trans. fluid.

coolant level. Could be oil cooler pipe problem. Leak area often causes one to suspect water pump, so go slow w/ diagnosis.

the case. Mine has the red stuff in it. The car shifts fine, with the normal hunting. I'm not going to touch it.

They can be a moody beast at times.

The dealer thinks it is major but need to run the car and then let it sit overnight. It isnt leaking from the drivers side but more towards the passenger side, so I need to wait till tomorrow to find out. They mentioned that the coolant could be leaking from the oil cooler.
