When the car is running, the gear/shifting indicator light is lit up for all gears. I would have to assume this means something and was wondering if anyone could enlighten me as to exactly what it meant.

There's a problem with your transmission or your F125 switch.

When in Limp mode, I believe the transmition stays in 4th gear all off the time. You will damage if you don't fix it soon. That is if it truely is in Limp mode and it isn't just the indicators. Does it still feel normal off the line and shift the same?

The problem is I'm acting as a proxy for this, my dad is descirbing the problems to me via email, but he has described some "bucking." We've also had some issues with it stalling out. I'm sending him all these posts and hopefully it'll shed some light on things.

If you don't have vag com, go to Auto zone and have them read the codes.
It it goes into limp mode after start up without shifting, that means trouble. don't drive it on the Hwy.
