I recently purchased a 1999.5 A4 1.8t. The car is really fun to drive but I need some help. I took my car to the dealer today due to the fact that on two occasions,I shifted into the tiptronic mode and the engine behaved as if it were in neutral. One time I was kicking down to enter a highway and the other time just making a slow turn around a corner. The dealer inspected the memory chip and could detect no flaw. By the blank look on their face I'm not sure what they would have done if they found a flaw. Did I just happen to confuse the system until it adjust to my driving? Only 750 miles.
Also, at the risk of sounding overly ingrained with driving Japaneese cars, one of my passengers left a door open and I had no idea which one it was until I walked around the car. It was the last one I checked. Aside from a chime, is it guesswork? Also, is there a warning if the trunk is open?
Lastly, I am considering puchasing a interior trim kit from Joshua Tree. Has anyone purchased from them and how is the quality?
