Any reason to be concerned with Firestone techs doing an A8 wheel alignment??

I came across this recent offer from Firestone:
Lifetime Wheel Alignment $139.99
Lifetime Limited Warranty on most non-commercial vehicles.
Certificate is non-transferable and valid for as long as you own the vehicle.
All alignments set to manufacturer's specifications; includes front and rear caster, camber and tow settings that are adjustable. What is not covered: if parts are required to restore car to manufacturer's alignment specifications, then those parts and labor required to install them are not included. Alignment prices shown are available for most vehicles. See store for details. Additional charge for shop supplies and disposal fees.

They will do your alignment the first time, then after that they will say they cannot do your car. I had this exact scenario happen to me with firestone and my A8. I wrote firestone and they never responded.

That they essentially never do A8 alignments and doubt if they will get all the settings dialed in.

This is one thing I have used the dealer for, even though it is expensive, I've always have had, and still do, a car that drives perfectly straight and nothing but perfect tire wear with little to no tire rotation.

I almost took my car to pep boys for my alignment. Look, you bought a nice car, so treat it like one.

I saw this ad on the internet for lifetime viagra, its a one time pill that you take once and stay erect forever.

Creativity keeps the customers coming back. Good mechanics produce the same result.

nope, the lifetime alignment is what gives me that extra edge of a few second in the quarter, the lifetime viagra helps with the trophy girl after the races. (Im really only joking, obviously. And I apologize if I got the thread a bit off track :) )

In all seriousness though, I wouldnt trust some lifetime alinment offer like that. To do a proper four wheel alignment the first time would cost at least what their lifetime price is, so I could only imagine the quality and thoroughness of the subsequent jobs should you come back for some "Sloppy seconds"
