Well my moms A8 is off its certified warranty. Already needs a oil cooler leak fixed ($800 at dealer). Does anyone have recommendations on aftermarket warranties that will cover the car? It is about 45k on it, and is a 1998 loaded A8.

Please help so that she can cover the car before getting leak fixed!

This assumes a 32 valve motor. If you need to do your timing belt, do that too, this takes about 1.5 hours extra.

I would probably pull the front end to do this job without doing the timing belt, it would probably be a lot easier. You would remove the alternator and serpentine belt.

http://www.audipages.com/Tech_Articles/enginemechanical/oilcoolerremovalreinstall.html</a

I have a full warranty on my 8 with a company Called Penn Waranty Company. They have numerous policies to choose from, and so far have been easy to deal with.
