2nd day driving and I have to say that the rebuild maf has made a big improvement in drivability. The car is much more responsive and shifts crisper. The car does still hunt in 5th at 39mph with very light throttle but does it only a few times then stops or stops the minute I give it just a hair more throttle. Car does not hunt in any other gear at any speed. The car also does not shift up to 5th unless it is over 40 mph which is nice it used to shift into 5th under 40mph before the maf change. We are getting closer.. I still feel the pump in the tranny is not pushing hard enough on very light throttle hence the hunt starts. Reminder the hunt that I am talking about = TC lock and unlock. Gears are not changing back and forth.

I just ordered a book on ECU modification.....I want to learn at least the how's and why's of reprogramming a fuel map....would be helpful for supercharging!

Secondly....now that I see how the TCU shifts the tranny and length of that shift.....I would like to learn how to reprogram the TCU chip also....would like to make a faster shifting chip.

I have bought a spare TCU for the car in case I ever get that far.

that is why they never hunt.

it seems like the TC thumps every once in a while at very slow speeds.

I wonder if I have a different TCU?
