Naturally info you get from the tuner is what they know and have tested, but if you think about it there are some important things to consider.
Wett seems to be chip-tuning-only company, whereas APR has the ability to engineer the entire upgrade including the new manifold, new exhaust (APR/Vortrag), use of a modern technology Garrett turbo, the upgraded intercooler, availability of a beefier clutch and so on. It's a whole and comprehensive package. Not to mention they do endless testing on street and dyno.
Since APR is a full-service tuning company not just a chip-tuning company, you have a whole system rather than getting a partial system here and adding other parts from elsewhere.
You have to look at the performance and engineering of an overall package as a benefit in and of itself.
