I understand that the Audi S8 has 365 hp... And I've heard that the new S8 should have between 400-450hp when it does come out in the next couple years. Does anyone know if it will have an optional V12 or will audi relase a car more up to par in hp with the S55 AMG (493hp)?

And it's sporting the aliminum spaceframe, plus Quattro obviously. So throw power to weight ratio and handling in the mix, and the Merc may have a handfull to keep up... (certainly if you encounter the odd corner or two).

A guy I know just ordered one, he claims it's faster than his RS6.


How much HP the S8 is going to deliver, or even what the engine will be, is anyones guess. You can be sure it'll be fast though...
