I posted 2 weeks ago - in regards to my 97 A8's transmission making a high pitch noise

The dealer wanted to install a new transmission for 10K or so. You all recommended that I get the transmission serviced

I had a independent audi shop look at it- and they did the transmission service and repaired the leak for about $800!!!! the car is running just fine !!!!!!

The dealer is a total fraud -come to find out they never did the transmission service - that they were paid to do 18 months ago!!!!!!!! The mechanics that worked on it(at the independent)
swears that the service was never done- because they had to hack off some of the bolts

I'm always inclined to watch the service being done, so I can make sure that it actually gets done. Of course thats a huge time expenditure.
