I have a 99.5 1.8TQMS and have noticed recently that during hard acceleration when I shift into 3rd gear the it grinds a bit. I have the clutch fully depressed. It doesn't do it during normal acceleration. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I am calling the dealership today to have the car looked at.

I haven't had this problem with my Audi, but I had the exact same problem with my Integra and it turned out to be the synchros (sp?) were going. If this is your problem, at least you're still under warranty.
