are you sure both of these things happened the same day?
is you locking system set up to use one pus to unlock the driver's door? if so, the first push will only unlock the drivers door, a second push will unlock the passenger's side and the trunk.

I wonder if the country code for your radio has been changed? Time for VAG-COM
