had my A8 for a month now and *finally* have it the way i like:

* fully debadged, only the rings are left on the back
* clear side markers (i like orange on the corner & left that)
* tranny recoded to RDW sport so i can stick Tip in 1st (00011)
* central locks recoded for all4doors, windows, etc (16232)

i just love this car. the A8 must be the best-kept secret in the automotive industry. it's nice and comfy for my big fat butt, has quattro and enough airbags to make my wife stop talking about a volvo suv, and with that massive trunk is about to replace our minivan as the vehicle of choice for long trips.

can't figure out why these vehicles aren't more popular...

If you took the time and effort to debadge your baby, why, oh why, didn't you remove the Dealer ad plate in the back? ;-) btw, that's where I'm trying to buy my new car - unfortunately, I've been in bed with the flu all weekend, maybe Monday I'll be up to making my purchase &lt;big grin&gt;

ah, good point. i have a black frame in the trunk but am waiting until the real plates arrive to put it on.
