my audi '90 v-8 quattro a-8 has stoped shifting into drive, works fine in reverse but no forward. any ideas?

a bit different from the later model (D2) '97 and up trannies. Good luck! (BTW, it sounds like a TCU/wiring/solenoid problem to me.)

with the age of the tranny, there is bound to be a few issues. i'd look for a specialist shop, and stay away from the franchised dealers - they will have forgotten more than they remember with the unit.

minimum levels of electronics means that disgnostics will involve hydraulics etc...
