Man, did I work up a sweat today. For some strange reason Northern California got up to 100 degrees in my neighborhood today...perfect day for a detail job...NOT! So, this is what I did:
1) Washed car...dried it with soft terry cloth towels
2) Used Pre-Wax Cleaner (Mother's brand)
3) Used Sealer/Glaze (Mother's brand)
4) Used Carnuba Wax (Mother's brand)
5) Used Vinylex on tires/interior plastic (Lexol brand)
6) Vacuumed car
Total elapsed time: 5 hours (yes, I said 5 hours)
Total fluids consumed:
1) Two (2) Mountain Dews
2) One (1) Sprite
3) One (1) Cherry Coke
4) One (1) Diet A&W Rootbeer
5) One (1) Diet Sprite
My back is killing me...the car towels are in the washer getting renewed....and I have to admit...the car looks pretty damn good...especially in Laser Red.
That Mother's stuff works pretty well...and smells great (as if that matters)

Remove each wheel so that you can clean out the wells and shine all of the suspension parts.

BTW, ask Corey S...I actually did that once...clean the wheel wells....and wipe down the suspension pieces I could reach. I know...I am a sick puppy.

Hey, I clean my wheel wells everytime I wash the car (although I do not remove the wheels). The service advisors at my dealership ask me if I ever take my car out in the rain! :-)

I've been off the forum for awhile, I grew tired of the "noise". Have you heard of the STAG (South Texas Audi Gruppe) that CW has been getting started here? We've only had two meetings so far and already the dealer from the GM on down are showing a lot of support. We already are getting a few things lined up for the coming months.

He even forwarded me on his emails to you folks. Glad you got someone to
put forth the effort.

I highly recommend you upgrade the Diet A&W rootbeer to a Diet A&W rootbeer float. Just add your favorite ice cream.
This would enhance the overall detailing of the car, of course.

Lexo PH cleaner on every leather surface (yes, there are lots of leather surfaces),Lexol Leather Conditioner, steamed cleaned all of the Wilton Wool Carpets, Cleaned the fleece floor mats, BoeShielded all of the latches and strike plates and then had to tear apart the wheel well because the hood wouldn't open by the switch (god love British cars). Total consumed liquids:
1 gallon non sweetend tea (no grief from IronMike)
1 liter of water
And I am sure that along way I swallowed some Lexol!

I always wash the under fender areas. As a matter of fact this last weekend I not only washed but I went over the area with "Black Again". The underside of my A4 looks like the day it left the showroom. All this care I'm sure isn't necessary but it doesn't really take that long and beside I really enjoy it. Glad to hear others enjoy time with their A4 like I do.
Keep her clean
