Please don't tell me to check the archives. I have.
What I want is a picture of someone's 1.8T with the H&R sport springs. Whose got one? How does the drop compare to Sport Package both F and R.
Also, do the Eibachs seem to make the car look squatish (new word)?
TIA.
-Micah

The squatish look you might be thinking of comes from the fact that most European cars tend to have more space between the top of the wheel well and the tirein the front than in the rear. When you lower some cars it intensifies this look. Like your doin' a wheelie down the road.
I ordered A! springs and had them installed by Globe tire in Los Angeles. When I came to pick up the car I said "no thanks, you can send those springs right back to A! and order me some H&Rs". The Avantegararde springs lowered both the front and rear about 1.4". They looked horrible, squating like you described. The H&Rs lower the car 1.4" in the rear but a full 2" in the front, settling the fender perfectly both front and rear. I use a 245/35/18 with 18x8.5 A! SLRs and it NEVER scrapes.
There's a straight-on side veiw in the gallery but I think this one shows the "stance" best.
Damon
98.5 2.8 Avant QMS

more.

I've heard nothing but horror stories about eibach springs. H & R are the best, had them in my 97 GLX. IMHO you should forget about spring and get with the big boys COIL OVERS, if you don't like the ride or the fender gap you can get them adjusted. I think anywhere from 1" to 3" and they'er soon to be on my car

Here's a picture. The Sports are supposed to lower 1.25" front/1" rear (from stock non-sport); mine came lowered 1.5" front/1.25" rear. From what I've read, it came out about 10mm lower than the stock sport pkg. I have the Koni Sport shocks (set on medium). I run 36 psi in Dunlop SP8000 205/55/16 on Borbet Type C wheels. It handles great! If you want to see more, look in the picture poster for pix that start with "cwb". HTH.
CraigB

The damn tires stick out farther then the fender, there is barely an inch space, so if you take a tight corner fast it must rub... unless you have so hard springs that it never compresses more than an inch...
?????????

Get yourself some glasses bro, why would I drive an A4 with the wheels sticking out past the fender? I don't live in east LA, try Pacific Palisades. My car is as tight as they come and I can assure you that my tires NEVER contact anything other than the ground!
Damon
98.5 2.8 Avant QMS, AMS Chip, cat back, K&N, H&Rs, Bilsteins, 18x8.5s, Recaro SRs

Is it cat back or muffler only? Also, what are the dogs names (my guess is "Sub" and "Woofer")? 8^)
CraigB

Its all 2.5" tubes. I used a 2.5" glass pack where the resonator was and a Dynomax Ultraflow where the stock muffler was. The tip is a stainless 2.75" piece from Thermal Technologies. Total cost including instalation was 250 bucks. It sounds great.
I went with a single-inlet single-outlet muffler and one tip vs. a single-inlet double-outlet muffler because IMO there is not enough room back there for a dual exhaust and there is no difference in flow. I know others will dissagree and think that it looks good to have 2 tips, it's just my thought on the matter.
Damon
