So one of my bulbs burned out a few weeks ago. It was a Phillips D2 bulb made in Germany.

The dealer wanted $165 for a new bulb!!!!!

Jack sold me one that he just bought from the Audi dealer for his Mom's car, but the color didn't match, so I bought it from him for $65. It's made in the USA and not Phillips.

I put it in, it starts blue, then goes white. My other Phillips bulb stays blue, which I like.

Then I find a guy on ebay selling bulbs, they are Phillips, made in Germany and I buy one for $54 with shipping. He says it will stay blue. Put it in yesterday and it also starts blue and goes WHITE!

So now I'll take the other side apart and put the bulb Jack sold me so I'll have two that are the same color and keep the blue one for a spare....

It only took me four weeks to work this one out! ;-)
