I know the springs and shocks of the QEM sport suspension are specific to quattro models vs. FWD models. But, are they also specific to 2.8 vs. 1.8?
I'm looking to buy used from the classifields and retro into my 1.8T Quattro.

I did a lot of research into this and came up with a variety of information. Pretige Imports in Denver parts department said they would drop right in. I recommend you look at the curb weight of the different models. My '97 1.8T FWD auto weighs 100 pounds less than the '98 2.8 FWD manual I am getting the part off of. I noticed the '99 models jumped in weight somewhat. I guess I'll know for sure when the I swap the parts on 8/31.

I added the sport suspension to my car, but I took if from a 2.8Q and put it on a 2.8Q.
When I was researching it, I called the dealer and had them look it up, asked the forum, and looked over the front and rear suspension installation/removal PDF files. I received conflicting opinions from the forum. The dealer told me the parts were the same and they even told me how to identify the springs (sport vs non-sport). The PDF file indicated that there was no difference based on engine designation. So...you should be OK as long as quattro suspension parts go on quattro cars. If you have any questions...just ask.
