View Full Version : S4 colors, I put a deposit on Red/Onyx, but am thinking of switching to Yellow/Ony, any input? Phil S 08-22-1999, 09:53 AM Reggie 08-22-1999, 10:20 AM If you plan on keeping the car for a long time be careful of your choice as you will have to live with it a long time. Red is more conservative yet exciting color. Yellow I always nicknamed it as traffic ticket yellow. However, the yellow is new and not on many cars so it looks different and exciting - it will draw attention. Cris Oh yeah... it's yellow.... Brilliant Yellow John G 08-22-1999, 04:55 PM nt Reggie 08-22-1999, 07:36 PM muscle cars that were using yellow - the first Z-28s and the Backarudas. The minute I posted the message I knew I would be called on it. The yellow color on the Z ( I had a 78 Z 5 speed and it was one of my most favorite cars I have owned) was not that popular on that car but it did look nice and was used in some car reviews (mine was silver). Though I was (like Billy Joel said in his first album) a "Child of Eisenhower" I do not remember yellow cars of the 50s. As the late sixties and 70s came on the colors also got decals that made them more of a circus cars than real cars. My most favorite car still is my old 73 2002tii. It could stay up with the Z and with 3 other passengers. I think the mechanical fuel injection and larger brakes and wheels had a factor in it.
