I found something new...."What, you might ask is that Steve"? Well, with those of you with the older Delta head unit on their non-Bose system (96 and 97 cars)...you see that RD button on the right top on the head unit....Well, depress the button and you will see a red "RD" display in the LED indicating that the "RD" function is "ON". What pray-tell is the RD function? (Hope Ray doesn't tell me that this was in the manual :-)....) Well, it turns out that the older stereos, that also had the 6-disc cd changer from Alpine, actually have a "RANDOM PLAY" function of the CD changer. For those of you with the older unit...go out and try it. It works. It plays any one of your six disks....randomly. And, one other tidbit...if you manually change the CD by depressing CD #3 when you were originally on CD #4...it will not play the first song on that CD, but rather the second one instead (this is kinda strange to me...but doesn't bother me too much).
Anyway, try it for yourself make sure I am not wiggin out. At first I thought my stereo/CD changer was on the fritz...but then came to the realization that this is supposed to happen like this. Cool.
I wonder what I will learn about the car next week. (BTW, I bet this was in the stereo manual. I did read the stereo manual when I first got the car...but sure didn't remember this feature)
