I noticed that people barely ordered their MY 2000 A4 and are getting it by November. My dealer said that early August was the cut off for November delivery. I ordered mine early August but expecting delivery in December. If the dealer orders it do they have to wait for their share of allocation vehicles for the month? or can they add to this anytime when you order one?
I'm confused about this. Also, dealer (Newport Auto Center) said that they cannot change their allocation (car specs/options)? it seems that other dealers can change a car that closely matches what you ordered and customized it for you?

From what I understand, they can't change the model (e.g. 1.8T Quattro, manual) but they can change the options that are or are not on the car.
