9-spoke wheel, now standard with the W12. Hmmmm, size sounds familiar somehow.

BTW, thank Dave Tye for this information; he saw them last week on an A8L 6.0 at a U.K. Audi dealer. Dave, can you post a better picture of these wheels?

And I wonder what this wheel weighs?

There has been a couple of pictures of A8's with these wheels at my A8/S8 wheels page for a while. The pictures are unfortunately a bit small.<ul><li><a href="http://audiwheels.kjella.net">A8/S8 Wheels page</a></li></ul>

As you can see, they are identical to the 18" RS4 9-spokes.

In the parts list I think they are called something exiting like 20" 9-spoke aluminium wheels

Because the Audi UK technical dept. couldn't verify the fit! This seems strange as these wheels will now come as a standard fit on all A8 Sports and S8's until the new model arrives.
