The light went of stating that the pads are worn. How much time do I have before they wear to the rotors?
Does Mintex make red box pads that fit the A8 ('97 quattro)?
What aftermarket pads would people recommend? Do they have the pad wear sensors?
Thanks

If you have the stock pads, they will live a _long_ time after the light comes on. 2000 miles should not be a problem. I put 3000 Km's on mine last year, before changing to EBC (standard) pads. They still had lots left.
BTW, I do absolutely not recommend the standard EBC pads! Too soft, doesen't take much heat, will peel, get glazed and destroy rotors if driven hard. BTDT.
I'm now changing to EBC Green Stuff pads (finally available!) and EBC rotors, will se how that combo works out. People seem to like it, so I'll give it a try.

They use the HP-2 calipers that are standard on the S4's, A6 2.7T, A6 4.2 models too. They bolt right in to stock spindle points, MTM offers it and you can order it thru Audi too.
