Yes, nicotine is an anti depresent and would therefore be useful in treating some nurological disorders though I would think a patch would be a better (read safer) delivery device than a cigarette. As a matter of fact a cigarette being a nicotine delievery device is one of the angles the anti smoking groups tried to use to ban or control the use of cigarettes. The basis of their argument was cigarettes the are basically nicotine delivery devices and should therefore be regulated by the FDA as such.
