There is a post on the S4 forum that mentions the possibility of US availability for the S8...

<a href="http://www.audiworld.com/forum/m/s4/34468.phtml">http://www.audiworld.com/forum/m/s4/34468.phtml</a>

... does anyone have further details?

Also, can someone post or e-mail me some technical figures for the S8?... bore, stroke, compression, displacement, performance, etc.

TIA!

Justin,
Here's an interesting S8 development. In the late summer time frame, 9/99, there was a S8 at a local Denver dealer, German plates and all. It was there for several months. This was the real article. The dealership was being used as "Home Plate" for the factory engineers while performing tests, specfically, high altitude emissions. This sort of " Home Plate" strategy at the local dealers is nothing new, as most of the German auto manufactuer's are spotted commonly.

An engineer can quickly go from a 5K elevation to 10K in a controlled real world condition. I'm told by people other than the Audi dealership, that the S8 is coming to America. My AoA mole say's its highly probable to see the S8 in America soon.

I was at the said dealer a few days ago. The person I was talking to said the S8 would be introduced in the summer, but couldn't remember if it was this summer or next.
