I don't know why they thought the engagement point should be so high. And then to start the car, you have to push the clutch through the firewall to de-activate the starter interlock!<p>I decided not to mess with things or have the dealer play with it, so I just got used to it.<br>

I had a similar problem with the clutch interlock. (Had to stand on it to engage the starter.) Dealer found that the switch had come loose and was just hanging there. It took him about two hours of screwing around to fix it, but the problem no longer exists. (I haven't played with it to see where the interlock engagement point is, but it is no longer even noticeable.)<br>
