I just got a call from the salesperson that I ordered my 2000 1.8T from at Keyes Audi and he said that the one of their silver S4's was at the Houston port along with 2 A6 V8's.
He mentioned that the S4 was not fully loaded and was not pre-sold. There were also a few 2000 A8's at the port.
He did not have any other info. regarding possible changes to the A4.

I hope any of this info helps those waiting "patiently" for thier S4's or any delivery info.

My dealer has confirmed that a few unsold S4's will be coming in with the first batch. They will be released for sale right after Labor day along with the first batch of custom orders. I don't know what they'll charge for these, and you might consider camping out at the dealership the night before.
