I have been privileged to have the close friendship of three black persons--one for over 16 years. I've never felt compelled to use the N word in any of their presences, or anywhere else for that matter.
It is their right, not mine, to use racial epithets such as the N word if they choose to do so.
People have the right to be known by whatever name feels right to them, and it is up to others to ask before using a potentially derogatory epithet in their presence!
As Oscar Wilde wrote, "A gentleman is one who never insults another....unintentionally!"

Can someone with photo editing software put these lights on a silver car with the Projektzoe kit? If so, send me some email please. TIA

I myself am Jamaican and personally dislike being called "nigger" by anyone, whether black or white. Personally I don't think rice boy is a great term to characterize the Asian car scene or those who support it. I know guys who have fairly nice Accords and Civic's that have been modified tastefully and run very respectable times. I also know guys who have A4's with enough "sponsorship" stickers and a4 "rings" that you would think the thing just came of the track. To each his own, I don't see the need for the pathetic names we as a society like to place on others who go another route. Think I've run my fingers too much, on to 1.8t's and racing!

Hey Jim,
When I searched for A4 headlight covers, those were the only ones I could find. I wanted just a plain clear one, but nobody seems to make one for the A4 yet.
The design on the Projektzwo headlight cover would probably look kind of silly unless you're using the Valeo H4 headlights.
Later,

James Wu
A4 Club of Vancouver
1998 Black/Onyx 1.8tqa

A4 Club of Vancouver

I personally don't get offended with those terms but I don't like generalizations either.
People are different and reactions to those terms can differ depends on their personality, backgrounds including where they were born and grew up, social status, and other many factors.
So Asian person A gets offended while Asian person B can take these terms for fun.
By the way, is "Rice Boy" a sexist term? ha ha ha
This is off topic but as an Asian A4 lover, I just wanted to drop a line.
Nozomi
P.S.
By the way Cameron, you impressed me again because you knew the background of the web translation tool.
I'm in software localization business and I sometimes have to fight with some people who think "Any native speakers can do this job." "How come machine cannot do that job?" :-(

I posted a while back that I had noticed my trunk took a number of seconds to unlock after pressing the remote button, and other people apparently had this problem as well. Well, I am glad to report that the problem is actually a problem.
I brought my car in for service today to get the new remote antennae (yeah! Now I can be more than 5 feet from my car and unlock it!), and reported the trunk problem. The dealer tested the vacuum and the tubing, and found a split in the tube. They fixed it without retubing (the service says "found line split, heat line to splice"), and now the trunk opens at the same time as the doors. So maybe others have this same problem. Mine started when I went up to Tahoe, so maybe it is a cold/ice thing. But glad to say it is fixed, for free, on first time bringing it in. Hopefully this helps others.
