I just found this in the picture poster. What happened? Did the driver get out of this alive?

All I have to do is visualize my ride in that condition to become the very model of the defensive driver. My bet is the driver, if still alive, was one hurting cowboy. <p>I don't know if the jaws of life did as much damage as what's shown here, unless they also extricated the engine.

Don't remember his last name. He posted a couple of times a few weeks ago about this accident. He did make it out alive, but has been in rehab for about 2 months or so. Do a search of the archives and you may find his post. (along with a Rick Pitts story or two)<p>Matt

38 days after buying my new 98 1.8Q, 5 days after installing an Oettinger front spoiler, 8 hours after a great day of snowboarding, and only 10 minutes into the drive home,some fool lost control and crashed into me head-on. 2.5 hours later the jaws of life finally cut me out! This idoit was going between 80-100mph the Police est.
