The other day I hit my Mode button to switch from FM to the CD Changer, and got the code "CD00 ERR" on my radio display. So I checked it out and when I ejected the 6-CD cartridge, one of the CDs was lying inside the unit on the bottom. I can't really reach it with anything, unless I try to force it out with tweezers and a screwdriver or something, but the mechanisms in there are fairly complex so I'm afraid of screwing something up if I try. So I think I'm resigned to taking it in for service just to get the CD out & see if anything needs to be fixed. Has anyone else ever had a similar problem? They couldn't duplicate problem the first time...took it in a second time...they replaced the Alpine CD Changer (no cost, of course). Has worked fine since.<p>BTW, what happened to me was the CD00 ERR error message...with no CD playing...not the CD getting stuck.<p>Steve S.<br>97 2.8QM<br>

My indicator also reads "CD00 ERR." However, the magazine will not eject and the eject button is not lit. I have the factory bose system w/ cd changer. Like you, I'm reluctant to mess with the changer unit. Can you plese let me know if you come up with anything? I will do the same. Thanks.
