I was running Rosso's 235/40-18's with no problems at all with rubbing the wheel well(outside edge). We had decided to try out the S-03's since I have tried 02's and the Rosso's. By the way the Rosso's were fantastic.
The S03's went on and when on the freeway on some floaty type bumps, the edge of the fender was scrapping the tires. Turns out the S03's (like AUJ stated) are slightly wider and the outer edge is a shade higher.
Since my two front wheels looked as if they were chewed up by a lathe I decided to get a pair of wheels for the fronts and with Ronal having their sale it was fate!(a costly one!!LOL, but worth it). I was running 18x8.5's with ET31mm. The Ronal gang was busy trying on different ET's with a 18X8 wheel size. We also had to be able to clear the Stoptech Calipers.
Gary hit on the 18X8 ET40mm. Just barely clears the caliper and sets the tire back in the wheel well like I like it! No more just barely hangin outside the well on the fronts. And no rubbing inside either.
Also the 8's have no lip, where as the 9's on the back have a wider lip, giving it a staggered look even with the same tire size.
Thanks to Gary for taking the time to try on various fits to make sure we had one that worked out just right.
