I've already checked the archives and plan on doing some more testing, but I have a feeling that by rear deck Bose speakers are blown. I cannot play a "bassy" song w/o the speakers really vibrating and sounding extra low and deep. I've placed my hand over the grille to see if it was the speaker grille that was vibrating, but the vibrating persisted! One speaker seems to be a bit worse than the other. I just went to a dealer for my 15K service and the technicians reported that it is operating like normal and that is how the Bose system sounds! Bull****! It certainly didn't sound like that a couple of months ago! The service manager told me to come back if it persisted or if I thought there it needed a closer look and I think I'm going to take him up on that! How many of you w/the Bose system have had rear deck speaker problems or have "blown" their rear deck speakers? Anybody have any suggestions, etc.?

Other than that, I'm very happy driving the car lately, especially w/the install of my MTM Stage 2 kit! =)

I have a right rear speaker ordered by dealer mine is blown cause i get a crackle and a vibrating noise. what you can do to test this is stuff the speaker from the bottom with a soft rag or a foam that will muffel the base. if it goes a way then your speaker is blown duetosplitting fo the cone w/the magnet.

i am getting mine replaced this thursday.

How's it going? What's new w/your car? Did you ever pay that huge speeding ticket you received on your way to the Aftermarket Event? Did your brother get a 1.8T to use his APR chip in, yet?

Drop me a note!

I have the same problem with one of my rear speakers, though it is in my Nissan Maxima (which I'm getting rid of for a new S4). It "blew" about 2 years ago, and I've found that I can live with it. Its not bad unless listening to music with a lot of bass. I think what you hear is actually a rubbing of the woofer. It was over 400 to replace, so I did not bother, but you definitely should get it replaced. I was told that this is a fairly common problem with BOSE.
