it is the allroad cargo liner that is a rubber backed heavy carpet. It does have the "allroad" logo on it...but I don't care...I will either remove it, if possible, cover it up, if possible, or just leave it there and not care.
The carpeted A6 mat does not appear to have the rubber backing which I wanted.
The WeatherTech liner seemed too plasticky to me and is kinda' ugly, IMO...at least from the pics (although the general consensus on the allroad forum is the WeatherTech is tops).
The foam mat is too easily damaged...it is perfect for my 4.2, but in a wagon, I wanted something heavier-duty.

I'll let you know if the allroad logo can easily be removed or is unobtrusive...I will post pics and give impressions once I get it.

It is heavy duty, very firm, IMO not overly plastic considering what you are buying it for (haul fire wood, snow shows, ski boots, hiking boots, wet weather golf shoes, wet dogs ;)) and has a nice ridge around it to control any spillage or melting snow from the boots. It is easy to remove and clean. A simple hosing or brushing. I like it so much I got one for our van. Also, consider the heavy duty rubber floor mats with the deep channels designed to collect water and dirt. They, at least in my allroad, snap right on the posts in the floor and have saved my interior carpets on numerous times.

not as well as floor mats, but still very well made.

You've already gotten your answer from the others and it sounds like the WeatherTech was the prefered solution. I just got a 2001 A6A and my first order of business was to purchase the WeatherTech cargo liner. You can purchase them online from (www.clairparts.com) for $80. Attached is a pix for the application. The cargo net gets in the way a bit but, overall - it's the best solution for the money. Enjoy!
