This is a car with an MSRP of $37k it says, 36mo, 12k/yr. I'm not in the market for
an A6 so I didn't think much of it. But when I started to think about the math of this deal, it doesn't make sense. I was looking at A4 lease payments recently at that much.
How can they do this? If this is in fact too good to be true I have the ad - if it's advertised,
certainly they should honor it. The only thing I can think of is it's a teaser - they may not actually have any there, they just want to get you in to get something else. The dealer is
Steve White I believe, in Greenville SC.

I am sure there was a capital cost reduction fee...but I can't remember how much. It was advertised in the San Jose Mercury newspaper today. Looks like Audi wants to move product...especially the A6.

There is a $3,000 factory to dealer incentive on leased A6's. There must be a lot of 99's floating around dealer lots, because i've also seen similar adds in the Boston area. I think that someone could actually do better trying to lease an A6 than an A4 these days. However, you might want to look at the fine print. They could want a substantial down payment to get that low monthly payment. For example if they wanted $3,500 down on a 36 month lease, that would work out to an extra $100 per month, or $480/month. Still a good deal, but not quite as good as it first appears.
There appears to be a fairly high degree of variability in the ability of various dealers to move A6s. For example, Anderson-Behel in San Jose has (or had) loads of them while Rector in Burlingame is almost out of stock and has been selling them like crazy since the Audi promotion started.
(Don't worry, Rector can still probably get hold of more from the dealers that are not moving them)

the Edmunds web page has a special section devoted to them. The manufacturer and the dealer each contribute to pay down the payments so they can put a great price in the paper. It isn't that hard to get a deal on an A6. Audi generally sponsors this sort of deal every few months. Look for the large ad in any major city newspaper; it's not always near the auto classifieds.
the cap cost was 200 below invoice, they have a 800 incentive on leases for a4 avants, so dealer made 600, also this is with sunroof, sport steering wheel, and all weather package and automatic.
try eauto and click on autovantage to get a no haggle price, i got 800 and then bargained with a closer dealer to get 600 profit, great deal i think.
