I just signed the contract on a Brilliant Black/ebony 02 4.2 sport with premium package. Since the weather in Dallas is horrendous right now, with freezing rain predicted for this afternoon and tomorrow morning, I'm going to pick it up on Friday morning. The new car's mine, the 2.7t becomes my wife's and the Lexus RX 300 she was driving is now awaiting a new owner. In the meantime, I'm driving an 02 allroad demo from the dealership until Friday.

Details: 2,000 over invoice (it's the third car I've bought from them in the past three years, so sticker negotiations took about a minute, and I think it's a really good price for an 02 sport). Trade-in sucked, but I knew it would.

I'm now out of the new car market for the next three years; either that, or I'm in the new wife market (although she's not really upset; she likes the 2.7 a lot, understandably). Now I have my fun car to drive during the week, and her fun car to drive as the familymobile during the weekends. Needless to say, I'm pretty happy right now.

Congratulations. Interesting choice though on the colors. In Houston, you'll be melting into the seats on many days. Going to be doing some tinting soon? How much?

really worried about the black on black. My 2.7 with black interior/silver exterior has never gotten that hot when parked outside during lunch in July and August here in Dallas, so I'm hoping that the black exterior on this one won't change things that much.

Steve, which delaership, Park Place ot The Audi Store? And, Congratulations. Let us know how they compare in your opinion.

I got a 2002 A4 a few weeks ago from Park Place and had the same impression/experience with the Audi Store. Unfortunately I recently read that Park Place is selling the Audi dealership, so I hope the new owners keep the same professional approach that won my business.
