Well, it actually does add up to a hypothetical A12/V16, and is hinged at the center (detachable in fact), as well as having 2 complete sets of controls (this project was based entirely on very hi-tech methodologies and reliability through <A HREF="http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/ice_fire//vol2i1-c.htm">redundancy</a>; inspired by <A HREF="http://www.nasa.gov/">NASA</a>!).

The primary difficulty in completing this project car was that the <i>push-pull</i> driveline issues could not be overcome by the engineering staff (reverse <A HREF="http://www.mdl.sandia.gov/micromachine/pix/gears.gif">gear</a> must be improved as it continually failed in whichever vehicle was going backwards at 130 mph).

Other issues included uncooperative, duelling vehicle technicians (<A HREF="http://www.mschumacher.com/">drivers</a>), inadequate access to decent <A HREF="http://www.greenland.dk/testmain.htm">proving grounds</a> (Park Police ready to run us the hell out of there!), as well as <A HREF="http://www.personalrobots.com/cyetour/phototour/highres/spycye.html">spy-photographers</a> releasing the innovations developed here to the general public (wives at work).

Oh well, the <A HREF="http://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/87461.phtml">EuropA6</a> project can always be revived.
