On the German audi site (www.audi.de) there are many pictures, including a 3D of the S6. They have a black "cover" on the side molding. The size of the molding (if that is the right word) seems to be about the same size as the 4.2's. Does anybody (André?) know if this is a plastic stick-on, painted on top, or what?

It gives a great accent to the car, and emphasises the watchamucallit.

you're talking about those "things" at the bottom of the doors?
On US cars you could maybe remove the paint and go back to the base, which I would guess is of the same compound as mines.
The ones on the S6 are bigger, that is sticking more out, than on my ex-a6 2.8Q Av.
