I just noticed that the left and right outside mirrors on my '98 2.8Q (just purchased) are different sizes. The right is smaller than the left. Never saw this on a car before. Since I'm sitting at my computer, I don't have a chance right now to compare to other A6s. Are these standard sizes?

I'm pretty sure in '99 or '00 they went back to a large mirror on the PS. You could probably easily retrofit one.

Yes, Muhammad is right. In '99 the PS mirror was restored to the same size as Driver's. Would you believe, however, that I still see bitching on this forum that neither mirror is still large enough?

What are we looking for, folks? Cinerama? The eyes roll.

My "big" DS mirror is smaller than the current model, and the PS is about half that size.

nobody ever passes on the right thus the mirror on that side is not as important. Also, smaller mirror makes less wind noise. What they told us in ABS training anyway.
