Just got July C&D with two good spy shots of the new 7 series. It looks pretty much like a spy shot posted here a number of months ago, and boy, did BMW rip-off the proportions and roofline of the A6 - sort of. I think they messed up the details, and to my eye the car doesn't look nearly as good as the A6, or even the present 7 series. Combine that with some very questionable choices in the interior, and I think it bodes very well for Audi's marketing rivalry with BMW.

The C&D spy shots' family resemblance to Chuck540's spy shot of the new 5 series lends a lot of credibility to the likelihood that Chuck's article shows the actual new 5 series. They both have a similar rear end effect that seems to have been inspired by the last generation Dodge Stratus. I think even die-hard Beemer fanatics are going to be disappointed, and start looking seriously at the A6 and next generation of the A8.

Let's hope Audi continues its design renaissance with the evolution of the beautiful cars it been putting on the roads. IMHO, the next gen A4 is a winner in that regard. If the next gen A6 evolves from the current beautiful design, (Sorry, Muhammad.) I think there will be some significant changes in Audi's market share.
