The only reason I've a '01 Cashmere/Melange 2.7T is that its little brother and garage-mate is a '99.5 Laser/Opal A4 2.8 - and, my wife put her foot down - "How can we have two red cars"?, was answered -"You're not in them at the same time"! I think larger cars don't look that great in bright red color. Maybe a 4.2 with the sporty 17" 5-spoke wheels looks better in that color. Audiablo 02-13-2001, 03:17 PM Indie/allroad 02-13-2001, 04:14 PM I think the red looks awesome, but it needs the black leather Probably just a little too conspicuous for my tastes - I think I'd be too worried about getting speeding tickets all the time. But this was the car I test drove because it was the only one with the options I wanted on the lot. When I test drove it, it just felt right. So I had a choice, either order a car that I had no chance of getting a deal on, or get a great deal on this baby (which had been on the lot for awhile - most A6 owners don't seem to be interested in Tornado Red, especially without the sport package). So I got it $700 over invoice. Everyday I appreciate my decision more and more. In bright sun light the red seems to glow... it is pure beauty. How many Tornado Red A6's have you seen? Who wants to be like everyone else? Be a real Audi owner, Be Different! :) BTW, have yet to get a ticket (two months ownership - need to knock on some wood!), even had some close calls; got caught being bad twice and they should have pulled me over, but didn't.

More Pics

Richie -Minnesota 02-14-2001, 11:28 AM Sorry , no picture. Bought my '99 Tornado Red /Vanilla leather A6 Avant three weeks ago .Immaculate condition since it was driven by the dealer's service manager . Everybody loves it .The color is a little wild and daring , but I'm a bachelor musician... so what the heck ? I refer to it as my "mid-life crisis car" .
