I will be getting my 01 A.6 2.7t early February,I hope, and what I am going to do is swap out whatever tires come with it and install Blizzak LM-22's on the car. My question is: The car will be coming, I believe, with 215/55-16 tires, if that is so, which would be the preferrable tire size to put on. The 205/50HR16, or, 225/50HR16 ? I will be installing them on the original wheels that will be on the car.

Grandpa, the folks to call are the tire experts at The Tire Rack in South Bend, IN. I buy all of my tires from them and they've extensively tested all of their snow tire offerings in the snow and ice conditions. Call them at 888-370-8473 and ask them what they'd recommend. You'll get the right answer. (They carry the LM-22's.)
