Just had 30K maintenance and tech said that he received an error code, which read "K wire not grounding." He told me the communication wire was not operating and thus, not able to talk to the diagnostic module. He speculated this could be due to my after-market (sony) stereo unit and it's own computer, which is stopping the communication between the car and the diagnostic module.

Anyone have this problem or heard of anything similar?

(by the way - I will be having my stereo unit un-plugged so he can re-check.)
