Ive owned my new A4 for a little over a month now and have encountered the following problems:

- The fuse controlling the interior lights blew after 2 weeks of ownership and has blown again.

- Last weekend when driving on the hiway in the rain, the engine sputtered and the "Check Engine Light" came on for a second.

- Once after starting the engine, the idle remained under 600 rpm and a fairly loud grinding noise came out form under the hood. I shut it down immediately and it restarted ok.

Overall I love my new car and although my last 3 cars were all Hondas (which are as reliable as hell) I am wondering if anyone else has experienced any of these problems or can share some insight.

Its going in for service later this week so I'll keep you all updated regarding the repairs.

problems so far:
1. creaking headliner (backorderd)
2. my dome light was flickering - dealer replaced door lock /alarm ECU? fixed.
3. front right suspension clunking...dealer suspects bad ball joint.

2. sunroof won't close sometimes - see archives
3. seat making creaking noises
4. CD changer/toolbox door hinge broken

With the A/C off and 95% highway driving I'm getting 30MPG!

Just got my 99.5 1.8tqm. Put on 300mi without any worries. Hope the rest go like this.
