Basically, this is the business:

You sign up and get your personal fax number (# is actually at this Co). When someone faxes you, they do not print out your fax, instead they put the data into the form of a digital picture and then email it to the address that you set.

I want to do this primarily for my Audi Salesman (they are 15 feet from having email set up) so he can fax me. However, I don't want these faxs sent to my office printer room.

The cost of this is paid through advertisers.

Anyone know of this company? - I forgot where I saw them.

The service you are referring to is eFax.com (I think). I signed up for it, but have never used it. The fax number they assigned me is in Pennsylvania even though I live in California.

There are a few free services for fax on the web. eFax works great, and is also free. You get a personal fax number. If you want extra features, you can pay for them. These include having a toll-free fax number or having electronic send fax. For standard services to receive faxes though, it is free. I think Yahoo also has a similar free service.
