Last night I took wifey to checkout and drive a 1999 A6 Avant. I asked her what were 3 things she liked and 3 things she did not like about the car:

Likes
1. The vanilla leather interior.
2. Steering and handling( I has sport tires and rims)
3. Styling.
Dislikes
1. Extremly slow acceleration."Oops I shouldn't have drove the BMW M3 today. haha" < Her exact words.
2. Black exterior & black carpeted interior. Dog hair magnet.
3. PRICE She said she would consider it for $32,000.

Personally I was very disappointed in the acceleration. Are the 99.5's any quicker with the updated transmission shift program?
She says before she does anything else she would have to drive a new 4Runner.

It is a very nice car and that vanilla leather is just like butter.

Hmmm, I traded in a 4 Runner earlier this year
for a 99 A6 Avant.

With the Avant we gave up a little cargo room
and some acceleration. The 4 Runner is a nice
vehicle but I wanted more style and driver
involvement.

Strangly enough, we've also got an M3.
The lack of acceleration in the A6 doesn't
really bother me that much. I think if the A6
was my only car it probably would though.
