Standing starts can be leisurely, to say the least. I've found that by putting the selector in "4" instead of "D" it seems to shift a little more aggressively. This is something that was built into my BMW's tranny, so I thought it might work here too.

Try using the tip function. The other trick is to goose the throttle prior to launch. The car will almost always default to starting out in second gear, unless the TSP sees large throttle openings.

I understand that there are chips that correct this concern.
