What's up people, I am looking for a suspension setup for my 99 1.8t. I'm lookin to drop the car 1.5 inches. Since a lot of you guys know more stuff I am lookin for what setups look and perform properly. If this helps I will be throwing 18's. Thanks

You can either go with a spring and shocks combo which is a bit cheaper or just go for a coilover setup. It all depends on how much you're willing to spend. If it were up to me, I would opt for the coilover setup from either H&R or Neuspeed.

I am happy with the A!AvantGarde kit. It gives a WONDERFUL balance of ride comfort and performance with the stock 16" wheels. With my summer setup (Azev Type F 17") it is a little bit on the stiff side. With 18's, it may be outright harsh. Based on the fact that you want to go with 18's, I'd look for a setup that won't jarr your teeth. People have good luck with the Eibach/Koni setup. However, the Eibach's with the aggressive drop can cause rubbing. The two people I know who had this setup got rubbing. You'd probably have to roll the fender. One of the two people I am referring to got rid of the Eibach's, and bought a set of the B&G springs from LLTek. He is having better luck with the B&G/Koni setup.

Northeast A4 Group
