Sorry if this has already been posted, but no time to search. They were nearly half the pack. I know that V8 packs a punch, but I hope it's wrong. I'm glad to 0-60 is low (and can get lower), but it's those times that IMHO we want to rule (chipped or unchipped), and are the ones we will use on a (hopefully) daily basis.

I've been reading C&D for 15 years and the test is setup for top gear acceleration with no "manual" downshifting. Of course mashing the pedal in an automatic, gives you the downshift and hence the times.

Don't worry, when most of us are at 30 or 50 MPH and want to pass quickly we downshift and the S4 will do just fine. I always thought C&D should change the tests to get best times possible.
