The A4 gets better every time I drive it! It feels much stronger and runs much smoother then the day I brought it home (6-6-99).
The 5 speed is a smooth as silk. I get an average of 24 miles to the gal. of gas and I have used 1/2 qt. of oil. I have had the car to top speed of 85 MPH so far and she is a dream to handle.I can not believe the power that's available in both 4th and even 5th gear when you push on it to pass. What a dream to drive! I Finally did find that ideal (for me) seating position...about 1/2 way down and about 1/2 way back w/a little lumbar support...oooo it feels so good!
Hits:
Power (w/o air on), great looks, front seat comfort, trunk space, manual trans.
Misses:
Break dust, power w/air on, back seat room.
ONE HAPPY A4 OWNER!!!

Man I've got just 888 miles Since 7/7/99 and after the 600 mile barrier I've been letting it run. It loves to cruise at 80 and easily jumps to 90 in 5th gear. I am holding back on 100 until 1,000 miles. Of course these are all in light traffic clear visibility situations.

I do a lot less highway cruising, only 8 miles to work so MPG is about 19. I just wish I had a longer commute.

Likes: The way the car connects with the road, the climate control system, Quattro in the corners, fit and finish, looks, smoothness

Dislikes: Brake Dust (Mintex to the rescue soon) and center console pushes against my right calf.

Sorry, I work 50 miles away from home. I now get up earlier than ever to get to work ( 1.5 hour earlier). Once at work, no one understand why I am in rush to go home and I now volunteer to drive at lunch time.

I get about 18.1 mpg, but I am rarely on the freeway. One thing I noticed moving up to a V6 is the lower power loss when the AC is on, it can still pull pretty hard. I just love the smoothness and refinement of the V6 engine. This is my first V6, all my past cars were 4 cylinders.
