When my wife and I looked for a A6 Avant, the first one we drove had severe distortion in the lower portion of the window. The model we got looked OK, but I have since found a distortion in the center of the driver's straight ahead view (slightly annoying). I drove a A6 the other day (as I like the Avant my wife has), and it had center distortion as well (I'm pretty particular about this issue.) bottom line is that it seems this is a real problem with Audi windshields.
